Aloo is something that everybody loves to have. I was very fussy about food so mom used to add aloo in everything that she made so that i have proper food attest. Now i have mostly all the vegetables but i avoid potatoes as they are high in calories. I try making anything out of potatoes only once in two weeks. This aloo 65 is a lip smacking appetizer i make it only and only when i am expecting guests or there is some potluck kind of thing as its a fried dish and i personally avoid fried stuff . Veggie people you will just go nuts over this recipe. Have a look at it.

Ingredients :

2 medium sized potatoes
1 tbs cornflour
2 tbs yogurt
1 tbs red chilly powder
1/4 tea spoon garam masala
2 pinches of orange red colour
1/2 tbs garlic ginger paste
3 slit green chillies
Curry leaves
Salt to taste.

Step 1 : Slice the potatoes like thin sticks as shown below, later half boil the thin potatoes adding salt in it.
Step 2 : In a bowl add corn flour, yogurt, chilly powder, garam masala, salt, garlic ginger paste and orange red colour. Mix the half boiled potatoes in it. Marinate this entire stuff for minimumof  2 hrs.

Step 3 : Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the potatoes. Initially fry in on low flame. Later increase the flame, so that they become crisp enough.

Step 4 : Garnish it with fried green chilies and curry leaves.

NOTE : Dont over boil the potatoes .
