Another paneer recipe for today. Methi Paneer is a colourful quick dish. Even this recipe was written in my recipe book , but i never tried it. I was just going through my book and my eyes fell on this recipe, i don't even remember writing this. And so i tried this recipe out and it turned out to be delicious. All thanks to my mom because she always made it a point that i note down the recipes that she taught me. Today whatever i am able to cook its only and only because of her. I still remember after 3 days of my wedding rocky 's friend was coming down to meet us my maid was on leave, my MIL was not doing good and i had to take care of entire cooking. Oh man, i was so dam scared . I called mom immediately and asked her as to what to cook and what not to. She gave me the instructions and i started cooking veg briyani, kurma and aalo 65. You people wont believe me in an hour i called her 25 times as to how do i do this how do i do that. It was simply crazy as well as funny. Finally my lunch was ready and everybody enjoyed it. It was like a sigh of relief for me. I called mom immediately and i was like mom you are simply great. Love you loads :). Now when she sees my blogs she feels so happy that her daughter has become a good cook and this makes me feel happy. HMM... that's about it. Now i tell you all how to make this methi paneer.
Ingredients:
250 gms paneer
1 bunch methi leaves
1 tomato
2 green chillies
Curry leaves
1/4 tea spoon cumin seeds
1/2 tbs coriander powder
1/2 tbs red chilly powder
Salt to taste.
Step 3 : Heat oil in a dish add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
Step 5 : Later add methi leaves, paneer and all the dry masalas. Cook it well on low flame for 7 Min's. Do not cover it with the lid because the colour of methi will start fading.
