Spicy Chicken Briyani

Chicken briyani, a delightful dish with rice simmered, in a spicy chicken gravy is everybody s favorite dish. You can call it spicy Indian casserole . Because of its heat and spiciness its wonderful winter food. When i eat or make chicken briyani only one person hits my mind and that is my MOM. She is an awesome cook, and her chicken briyani is the most yummiest of all. Though I cant reach her level of perfection but i will put in my efforts to be somewhere close to that. Now we will see how to make simple yet tasty CHICKEN BRIYANI.

Ingredients :

For Marinating:

    250 gms chicken
    2 cups yogurt
    1 tbs red chilly powder
    1/2 tbs coriander powder
    1/4 tbs garam masala
    2 Green chilles finely chopped
    Coriander leaves
    Salt to taste.

Other ingredients :

   2 cups rice
   2 lavang
   2 tbs oil
   1 big onion sliced
   2 drops of briyani flavor (optinal)
   1 tbs chicken briyani masala
   2 1/2 cups water
   1 tbs chilly powder
   1 Boiled egg
   Coriander leaves 
   Salt to taste .

Step 1 : Marinate the chicken and keep it aside for 2 hrs.

Step 2 : In a cooker heat oil  add lavang , later saute onion till they turn light brown .


Step 3 : Then add the marinated chicken in it and chicken briyani masala , add chilly powder and  salt. Finally pour 2 1/2 cups of water in it. Once it comes to boil add the basamati rice in it. After 1 whistle put the gas off.


Step 4 : Garnish it with sliced boiled egg and coriander leaves.
